If you want to use AD credentials to access the SEPM console, it possible to console authentication with Active Directory Account, you have to configure Directory Authentication option in SEPM console.

I like to provide you information about the How to ush sep from sepm mechine. You can choose mant option for this. They are as.............

1.Remote Intallation

2.Window 7 and Windows 2008 R2

3.CCNP, CNE (NetWare 5), MCP (70-270, 70-290)
Next cert CCIP. QoS & BGP done. Next up MPLS

the default mode (push) means that as soon as the SEP client is started, it establishes a connection to the SEPM and maintains that connection.

In this case, AS SOON as the SEPM downloads new definitions, it notifies all connected clients that new definitions are available. the cliet will then retrieve the file(s) from the SEPM (which acts essentially as an internal You should never have to execute a command from the SEPM to force the client to update ...

if you wanna use sepm tools for sep client deployment you can use:
push deployment wizard (under start > sepm)
unmanaged clients (option in sepm under clients)
export client packages and use them (in sepm under admin > install packages)

There are alot of helping forum entries about this which are already on the forum =)

You can use alot of things in SEPM to do this or use 3rd Party Management tools to implement SEP Clients (with export client packages) for example:
sms, altiris, tivoli and more

I hope in the next versions it will be possible to export/import admin profiles.
It would be much easier to administrate the different domain admins f.e.

Hi
We are using this on very large AD (80'000 users and >100'000 group's).
Works all fine, but you have to have MP2 on the client. Before MP2 the OU-Client matching was not working all the time and you found many clients in your default group.
Try it

What if you have thousands of devices in the console and you import AD.  Will that affect those devices that are already located in the console?

Jan 19, 2011 09:05 AM

hi

thanks for explanation.

can i use it to bind some AD-Account as Console-Admins, so the login uses the AD-Credentials and not SQL??

can i use it to detect automatically new computer in Domain (change since last synchro) that dont have AV installed?

Thanks.
