How to block flash disk with application and device policy

This video will demonstrate: 1) how to block all flash disk in a group, 2) block all except one flash disk in a group, and 3) create new group for managers and give access for all flash disks.

HI Brian,

could you please consider the following situation and please advice if possible to be achived:

 

SEMP

Group 1 = Clients in user mode = Policy allowing USB

Group 2 = Clients in computer mode = Policy for USB Block

TheManagers are in the first group, but they want to go to any PC in the Building and to have the policy allowing USB to follow them. So they go to PC which is in Group 2 and login on the domain and they cant use USB - that is what I am facing at the moment.

 

Is there a way to allow that usage per user login? Or all PC ( both groups ) need to go to user mode. Could that be achived without connecting to AD.

If all PC in user mode, then tracking PC is rather difficult. You are only tracking Users.

 

Please correct me if I am wrong.

HI All,

Do you know how to exclude Users from USB blocking. I belive the video is how to exclude Managers PCs from USB block, but if that manager goes to different PC then the USB block will be still there.

Hi Dear Fatih, Many thank's for Very Usefull Practical Training tha you Publish for Everybody who is using Symsntec A.V. on the World.

Is there anywhere on the Symantec Web Site, that gather such a Usefull Trainings ( Presentation / Document's ), that can easiely find & use for operational job to Solve Admin's Problems ?

Are Symantec Managers Thinking about Creating & Publishing such a Usefull & Easy to Use Training Videos for Customers free of Charge ? ofcourse just for Increasing their knowledge & Help them to Use, Better & effectiveness Using Symantec Product's such a A.V. ?

I'm sure that, there are lot's of Training Videos on Symantec Web Site, but Admin' don't know about their location ?! Specially those Admin's who are New to the Symantec Connect .
