This session focused on leveraging Control Compliance Suite (CCS) in Enterprise Security Manager (ESM) deployments.

ESM is an integral piece of CCS providing agent based data collection for a broad range of operating systems, databases and applications. Learn how you can use CCS reporting and analytics to manage risk and compliance with your existing ESM data collection infrastructure. We will demonstrate:

 

  • Configuring ESM data collection
  • Using the ESM policy to CCS standard conversion tool
  • Modifying the CCS standard to measure a company’s written standards
  • Viewing the results using CCS dashboards and reports

I recieved a couple of requests for the ESM report template I demoed so I am posting it.  As a refresher what this report template does is split out the ESM Message, Name field and Info field for the Evidence Column into seperate columns.  This makes sorting/filtering in excel for specify checks, usernames, services, etc much simpler.

Note: There are two templates in the zip file. _Excel template removes the page headers for cleaner sorting/filtering.
