What is Altiris Integrated component for Microsoft AD? why we need this tool.

It is used to import computers, users, sites, subnets and printers from Active Directory. It is primarily used as a discovery tool. For example, pulling in computers via AD simply lets Altiris be aware of them. You would have to setup an agent push to these computers separately.

You could probably do something with the full connector solution which cost money. You aren't really configuring AD, it's a one way import from AD to Altiris.

it means Once we install NS server, AD will be configured Automatically or we do not have to configure AD. untill we want..so there is no connection with AD.

The import from AD is not configured automatically. You need to configure the rules in the AD tool, and then enable and run the rules.

By default all the AD import rules will be disabled. These rules can't be enabled until you have properly configured them for your environment.

no need to configure NS in AD other then Importing Computers and otherobjects?

If you want to push the Altiris Agent out after importing computers, that will have to be configured.

Where can we download the Altiris Integrated component for Microsoft AD ?

In version 7 it is built in. In version 6 - with 6.5 console, it is under Configure -> Solution Center ->  (or configuration tab -> install\upgrade additional solutions, if you are using the 6.0 console), segments -> components ->Altiris Integrated Component for Microsoft Active Directory.
