I thought I read somewhere that it was being released November 6th.

Appears to have been delayed...

RU2 was removed from release schedule:

Have not heard from Symantec on it

We got a very non-commital sometime this month from our TAM.

The exact date would be out soon.

Why does it takes months to support new operating systems ?

Apple OSX Mountain Lion (released 25 july) is still waiting for a new version....

The Release is due anytime this year. There is no official date for the Release of SEP 12.1 RU2.

Check this Comment from Michael Marfise, Director, Symantec Endpoint Protection.

"Our next release is currently in beta and we are targeting for general availability later this year with the specific release date being determined by achievement of our quality criteria. We do not have a specific date at this time."

Great question! I fail to understand why the expected agility is not there for this product.

Just been informed by my contacts that 15/11 US time is the day. That means 16/11 for anyone ahead of the US.

yes, it should be available on fileconnect on 15th Nov.

I just got an alert that said it was made available today. I have not checked fileconnect yet.

I received an email from Symantec Beta program today(Nov. 12) saying that SEP 12.1.2 is out, but I called the Symantec support hotline and was told that it has not been released yet. I then checked fileconnect, not out yet also.

It is available for my clients with Small Business edition but not for the ones the SEP entreprise edition.

If they are localized (in other words, not English) versions or SEP (enterprise) was purchased as part of a suite--that could explain it. There's always a bit of an offset for localized versions and suites.
