Can you clarify one thing.... You mention the "SEPM live update server LUA."  Do you mean that a SEPM and an LUA are installed on the same server?  If so, please beware!  It is unsupported to have both on one machine.  http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH105076&locale=en_US

The SEPM can retrieve and process updates from the Internet and distribute them to its clients- a LUA server is not always needed to get materials to clients. 

If you intend for the updates to go from Internet -> LUA 2.x -> SEPM -> SEP clients, that is supported and will work.

If you intend to create a chain of LUA servers:   Internet -> LUA 2.x -> LUA 2.x -> SEPM -> SEP clients, it is supported but I would not recommend that.  It's best to retrieve the latest right from the Internet LU sources.

If you want to download definitions of Liveupdate A to Liveupdate B

Then in the Download URL of Liveupdate server B put the Distribution URL for Liveupdate server A ( hhtp://luServerA:8080/Clu-Prod )

instead of http://liveupdate.symantecliveupdate.com

Vikram is right . All you need is two LUA Servers .one called LUA1getting its updates directly from Symantec Website and distributing it and the Other called LUA2 should take the Updates from the LUA1 (LUA1 should be described as the Source Server) and distibute it for the Clients .Three Simple Steps will be .

a) Install LUA1 and configure it to get updates from Internet (Symantec)

b)Install LUA2  and configure it to get updates from LUA1

c) Configure your clients via SEPM to get updates from LUA2

Is it possible for LUA1 update from internet ( Symantec) and copy downloaded update to a media and transfer to internal server LUA2. Client will update from LUA2.
