  • 1.  using sylink replacer tool

    I will be installing a SEPM 12.1 on a New server.

    The old server has SEPM 11.0 updating 500 clients. I will be unistalling the SEPM 11.0 and installing 12.1 on a new server.

    Can i Use the Sylink replacer tool to connect the 11.0 clients to connect to the new SEPM12.1?

    If not what is the other way?

    Yes, You can use the sylink replacer tool for the same. In order to obtain the tool, you would have to log a case with the technical  support.

    However, to answer your question:

    Yes, you can use the SylinkReplacer version_12.1 for getting all the clients back.

    To get that tool you will have to call symantec or log a web case.

    If I have an SEPM on a machine1 with SQL 2000 and another SEPM on machine2 with SQL 2005 . Can machine 1 failover to machine 2 successfully

    No it is not possible.

    Replication partner 11.0x to 12.1
