    Posted Feb 09, 2013 03:45 AM

    I have SYMC PROTECTION SUITE ENTERPRISE EDITION 3.0 on Windows Server 2003 R2 with 30 clients.

    My C: drive if full on server where SYMC is installed. Now I am in panic and need real support.

    12GB ==> C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SymcData
    2.5GB ==> C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs

    15GB ==> C:\Program Files\Symantec

    Can I remove any thing from above folders?

    Please note in my case, I wanted to delete content from path below as it is over 12GB.
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\SymcData

    Can you give me any article specific to above path? And why it is growing that much? Is it safe deleting the content inside.

    I am facing this issue on Symantec Server, not end user computer.

    Please assist.

    Hi arazas,

    Is this computer the SEPM or a SEP client?

    Can you confirm the exact version of SEP?

    If it is a client, then most likely, upgrading to the latest available release will resolve the issue without any trouble.

    Its SEPM and also SEP at the same time.

    I resolved it through following two links:

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH98416
    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH103176

    Though I didnt upgraded it to RU5 and I can see disk is growing slowly but no trouble so far. We have ordered the Upgrade version and I shall upgrade soon.

    Thank you for your help.
