Symatec endpoint definition out of date, can not be updated with newest definition

    Windows2003 or XP, the last definition date is Feb. 2011, can not be updated with Definition Feb.2013.

    It's unmanged Sep client or managed sep client ?

    What is the version of SEPM Server and Client?

    If SEPM Server updated then kindly confirm how many client have old defintion?

    Clients are in manage/unmanage condition?

    If clients are manage condition then kindly check the client status online/offilne?

    the version of SEPM Server is 11.0, they are installed independently for each server. I update them by manually every 3 months. maybe some one been forgot to update. Does it need to be updated with old definition? thanks.

    No it's not required the old definition you can update with new one

    It's mean you  are updating every clients manually.

    error information:
    Intelligent Updater session complete.
    All updates failed to install on the machine, for more details about the processing , please check the log file “log.IntelligentUpdater.txt” created in the users temporary directory.
    I have tried to find the “log.IntelligentUpdater.txt”, but i have not find it , i use the search tool to searh in the computer, no found !

    “log.IntelligentUpdater.txt” will be in the %temp% folder of the user that has executed the intelligent updater.

    Let us know what is the exact version of your affected SEP clients and what file of Intelligent Updater have you been trying?

    Fixed the problem by re-installing the SEP. Thanks.
