Whenever I log into the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Console (on my workstation, not the one on the server) I cannot acces the Home or Monitors tabs.  I only see the following text:

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager cannot display some parts of the management console
because your computer runs one or more incompatible Java Runtime Environment (JRE) versions.
Please uninstall all incompatible JRE versions (1.6 update 10 and greater). Uninstall the remote
console, and then reinstall the remote console.

To use your existing JRE with limited console access, use Internet Explorer and enter the following URL:

         http://ServerIP:80/Reporting

And whenever I log into the Manager Console (on the actual server side) I still cannot access the Home or Monitors tabs.  On the server side I see the following error:

When I check the scm-server-0.log I see the following information:

In IIS, ensure that "Read" is checked in the Symantec website component (in this case, content), under Properties > Home Directory.

I have the Manager Console on the server working with just an IIS reset, however I still cannot access the Manager Console Home or Monitors tab with the http://SERVER:PORT/reporting access.  I am still getting the following text on the Home and Monitors tab instead of data:

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager cannot display some parts of the management console
because your computer runs one or more incompatible Java Runtime Environment (JRE) versions.
Please uninstall all incompatible JRE versions (1.6 update 10 and greater). Uninstall the remote
console, and then reinstall the remote console.

To use your existing JRE with limited console access, use Internet Explorer and enter the following URL:

         http://ServerIP:80/Reporting

And when I click on the above link and login, the Home and Monitors tab display correctly.  Does this just mean that Symantec Endpiont Protection Manager doesn't support the newer java versions?  I have JRE 5.0 update 15 and java 6 update 15.  Will it the Manager Console work with these versions of java?

Try by reinstalling in java console................

The older version(latest is RU5) has an issue with newer java versions

If you are using an older version this may be the issue...

From RU5 release notes''Home, Monitors, and Reports pages are blank on the remote

console after updating Java to version 1.6 Update 11

    Fix ID 1473464

Symptom: When using a remote console, some Symantec Endpoint Protection

Manager pages are blank after updating to Java 1.6 update 11.

Solution: Upgraded the version of Java Desktop Integration Components (JDIC)."

I am not sure about JRE 5.0 update 15 and java 6 update 15 but still u can try...
