    Hi all,

I am trying to deploy the SEP v 11 client to workstations. I opened up the Migration and Deployment Wizard. I was able to get to the screen where it asks to Specify the name of a new group that you wish to deploy clients to.

I entered the group name and clicked Next. Nothing happens. A Loading Data screen flashes for about 1 second and disappears. I am stuck on this screen.

Does anyone know what could be the cause or how to resolve this issue?

    I am running SBS 2008.

Thank you very much for your assistance!

    Hello,

To get around this issue you must either disable UAC or login as a Local Administrator to the machine. UAC is preventing the Migration and Deployment Wizard from functioning properly.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

You can make sure that the Symantec Endpoint Protection manager service is running. Login to SEPM and follow the document below for exporting installation packages from SEPM. Then you can use the migration and deployment wizard to deploy these packages to the clients.

    Hi,

A user account may have administrator privileges assigned to it, but applications that the user runs do not also have those privileges unless they are approved beforehand or the user explicitly authorizes it to have higher privileges. This is the functioning of UAC.

That is the main reason why you have to disable UAC in order for migration and deplyment wizard to work fine.
