    Hi All

Scenario: SEP 12.1 Self-managed Client is Installed, Cisco Client VPN 4.6 is Enabled.

Problem: I am unable to access the Shared Folders of the machine where Symantec Is Enabled and VPN Client is connected.

Description: When both Symantec and Cisco VPN is Enable other machines are unable to access the Shared Folders of that machine. As soons as Symantec is Disabled from both the machine (from and to Accessed Machines) the shared folders are getting accessed smoothly. All the ports are allowed from Firewall Policies. Uninstalling or DisablingSEP is Fixing the issue.

Do ask me if related Logs are required. All you experts Advice and Opinions are needed.

by installing only SEP AV component, are you able to access the shared folder?

do you see logs pertaining to the shared folder being blocked by SEP?

so, in that case change the firewall rule and set allow all rule above all and ensure it is enabled (since it is unmanged client)

does the log show there is block?

If yes, check the rule number or name and make necessary changes.

We had to upgrade to Cisco VPN 5.0 to deal with a similar issue with 11.0.6.

Yes it works then, but when Cisco is enable we have to Disable Symantec From both the clients to access

We are having 12.1. So i guess it should not be the issue of Upgradation.

Once i Disable the NTP from both the end, it works, so no need of Unistalling it. Its cleat that NTP is causing the Network access issue
