    Hi Admins

I have noticed in the last day or two that the amount of posts displayed in the forums is 'playing up'.

You can see in the screenshot that only 10 posts are listed, although my selection is 50.

If I select 20 in the dropdown, the screen will refresh and display 20.
Same when I then select 50, but the next time I refresh the screen, it will once again only display 10.

I am using Google Chrome Version 31.0.1650.63 m.

I'll put a ticket in with our developers. ;)

    Thanks Leslie!

I remember seeing the same issue about 2 or 3 years ago.
Weird that it is back now!

    Hi Admins

Any hope of getting this issue fixed any time soon?

Marianne, we have a ticket in. However, there are several other projects ahead of this one. I know that this is a frustrating issue, but it look like it will be the end of January before the developers can tackle this one. Sorry for the delay. We've had one particular project that has consumed all of our development resources and is just now wrapping up.

    Thanks Leslie.

There are quite a number of things that used to work well previously but not anymore.

I have not been able to determine if it is a browser (Chrome) issue.

Examples are the 'See solution' link at the top of a solved post that no longer takes me to the solution, as well as the 'Link' at the top right of a post. The only way I can select the link is to right-click, open link in new tab.
But I guess that I will have to start another discussion for that....

I have the same issue as Marianne:

'See solution' link at the top of a solved post that no longer takes me to the solution, as well as the 'Link' at the top right of a post

I get this issue on Chrome and Firefox running on Linux.  The link is right, because as Marianne says, if you right-click and open link in new tab then it works, but won't work within the same tab

To add a little extra info as a follow-up to the last two posts - these links *do* work if you first enter the the discussion by clicking on the green tick on the forum listing (doesn't help if the post hasn't been resolved obviously!!).

So these links *only* work *if* the URL in the address bar ends with #comment-7digitnumber

Thanks Andy - a pity emails notifications don't have a link to comment instead of post as as you say, once you have a #comment-7digitnumber at the end of the URL, all the links work and this would be a lot more useful anyway, rather having to scroll to end of post and is especially a nuisance when someone does a reply to an earlier comment so that comment is in the middle as then there is no easy way (I know of) to find comment - but I guess this is a dissussion for "Ideas" forum.

Don't use e-mail notifications - would've been inundated when I was a little more active(!!) - but the 'blue-dot' for new un-read posts does work correctly like the 'green-tick' on the forum list (in that it goes to the oldest un-read post in the discussion) and it also allows for the correct utilisation of the 'solution/link' links mentioned earlier. (It adds #new to the end of the URL).

Thanks for all of the information. I will add tickets for these with our developers. No need to start a new thread.

Unfortunately, the fix causes this old problem to appear in Chrome:  When I refresh the forum summary page, I get this

    =================

    Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

    Cookie

    /n

    =================

I need go to the history and delete the cookies before I can refresh the forum summary page correctly.  However, when I refresh the forum summary page again, I will get this error message again.  Thus, Connect is not working for me on Chrome.

Also, by deleting the cookies, I have to logon again to all the applications and website that I am accessing through Chrome.

I am using Chrome Version 32.0.1700.76 m which is the latest versison on Windows 7 32-bit.

    Can this problem be fixed?

& unfortunately the two points I made about things working now aren't - i.e. green tick / blue dot do not send you to the appropriate post as they add #/new or #/comment-seven-digit-number to the URL instead of just #new etc (note the erroneous extra ' / ' )

    ***EDIT***

Just realised Chris has already posted this here
