  • 1.  SMC 0x80070420 Error

    we have symantec endpoint antivirus protection installed on our WIN 2K3 server ( 64bit) .Today i tried to stop and restart the mgmnt client using smc-stop/start but it refuses to start and gives 0x80070420 error. Is there any way to restart without server reboot.

    Chage this registry value 
    Network Threat Protection 

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\SMC

    smc_engine_status 0 – means turned OFF 1- turned ON.

    Repiar the install and then try
