On Windows 2008 R2 add the following Roles and add the Role Services to the defaults (accept all prompts for further required role services):
- File Services
- Web Server (IIS), add the following Role Services to the defaults,
- ASP.NET
- Application Development > ASP
- Security > Windows Authentication
- Management Tools > IIS 6 Management Compatibility and all sub options
- Common HTTP features > Static Content
- Common HTTP features > Directory Browsing
- Application Server
- .NET Framework
- IIS Support
Then, once Task and/or Package Service has installed:
- IIS Manager > Sites > Default Web Site > Altiris > Client Task Server > Advanced Settings > Application Pool > Classic .NET AppPool
- IIS Manager > Application Pools > DefaultAppPool > Advanced Settings > Enable 32-bit Applications > True
