    Hello.

Please, help me to understand the difference between Network Discover Scanners (installation of SharePoint2007Scanner_windows_xx.exe) and Network Discover Scans ( installation Symantec_DLP_Solution.exe)?

For which tasks this packages? Which is more prefer in what situations?

    Thank you

Do you have access to the documentation that can be downloaded from FileConnect?  This should contain the information about setting up the SharPoint scanner.  This scanner allows Network Discover to interact w/ the SharePoint scanner.

I don't have my documentation in front of me to fully explain/reference it, but I would recommend reading it.

So Network Discover is for setting up the Network Discover Server and the SharePoint file is for setting up the scanner on the local SharePoint server.

    Hope that helps

I'm not sure he could explain it any better.

Network Discover connects to the sharepoint scanner which scans the sharepoint repository.

SharePoint2007Scanner_windows_xx.exe is installed on the sharepoint web front ends to scan content in a sharepoint farm

Symantec_DLP_Solution.exe is installed on a workstation or server to scan a website
