I am getting this error message from the SSC on a new installation. What exactly is it out of sync with?
It's the only server in the group and there is only one client so far. Everything on the network syncs the time with a local NTP server.

have had this problem before and fixed it by doing the following:

If the problem persists on a primary server, corrupted certificate information may be the cause. In these cases, you can fix the problem by moving that server to a new server group.
To fix the problem on a primary server:
In Symantec System Center, right-click System Hierarchy, and then click New > Server Group.
Type a name for the new server group.
Type a user name for the new server group's administrator, and then type the password that you want for that account.
    Click OK.
Drag the affected primary server into the new server group.
After the server appears in the new server group, right-click the server and then click Make Server a Primary Server.
Drag any other servers from the old server group into the new server group.

This will create a new PKI structure in case your current one has become corrupt. I pulled the above info from this link: http://entkb.symantec.com/security/output/n2005041313132348.html

I did try the following and it caused problems to me... Now,  I'm trying to degrade primary server to secondary server in SSC. Anyhow its not allowing me or there is no option to degrade the primary server.
    Scenario:

    Before making changes:

    1. SSC had one group and two servers, one as primary one.

    After making changes:

    1. Now, SSC has two groups, and one group has one primary server and another group has another server, which was also elevated to primary one.

Now, i wanted to degrade the second group's primary server, so that i can move both the servers in single group. Which is not happening since bothe are primary server and belongs to different groups.

Do you have any idea, on how to resolve this issue ??
