    Posted Jun 18, 2012 10:29 AM

    Hi All

I had a full disk on my syamntec management server. I cleared all data and now have 83 gig open. The services did not start so I ran an install on the server and then restored the database from SQL backup. Now my Web service starts but not the SEPM service. I can see only one error in my logs.

    Missing property: scm.db.datasource.

I reran the config wizard twice but no luck. any suggestions?

    Hello,

Could you please upload us the scm-server-0.log and catalina.out.log from the server machine?

Could you also check if you could go under "services.msc" and check if the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is started or stopped?

If it is stopped, please start the services and try logging to the SEPM again.

I am not sure, what data has been deleted by you. Could you please provide us more details on what files were deleted?

hi i moved my logs to make sure none of the files are locked. that file is not populating. I have restarted the server and tried repair and restart but same result. I only have these logs populating when I try to start

looks ok, you can disable the logging from finest to fine.

    scm.log.loglevel=FINE

once saved restart the SEPM service.

Add the line "scm.db.datasource=jdbc/metadatabase" without the quotes to the last line in the conf.properties, save and close the file then restart the SEPM service.

Started uninstall and install process. Busy restoring database to see if this will bring up the service.

If this does not work I will log a ticket.

    Hi,

I hope uninstall and reinstall can help you to resolve the issue.

If you have logged a case then please share the case number with me.

Uninstall reinstall worked. I can connect again and services are running. Had to uninstall and reinstall LiveUpdate also, was giving error - 4. I did not log a ticket.
