  • 1.  SEPM all groups are missing from console

    Posted Mar 12, 2013 10:00 AM

I logged into my SEPM today and all the groups unders clients are missing, the only thing there is My Company then under that is Default Group and there used to be about 5 machines under Default but they are all gone and I had about 6 groups created that are all completely gone even though the dashboard is showing everything as normal as far as the user counts etc...  I upgraded from 12.1 to 12.1.2 last Monday and everything has been running fine no issues until I went in to look at it today.  Is this a problem with the upgrade?  What can I do to get those groups back the only backup I have is the one from right before the upgrade to 12.1.2.

    Thanks!

    Chris

    Open sepm

    check under servers

    domain

you will have 1 more domain other than Default.

right click on that and select administer

now go back to your groups, u will find it :)

Have you been playing around with the SEPM Domains at all?

It's generally quite rare for the whole lot to disappear.  This should only happen if the DB is lost.

I'd suggest checking one of the your clients first, to see if they believe themselves to be connecting to the SEPM (i.e. do they show a green dot).

If so, then the groups and policies are still there and it might just be a SEP Domains thing.  SEP Domains are accessed via ADMIN -> Domains, here you should see a list of SEP Domains.  If I'm correct, then you may see more than one listed.  Highlight each in turn, click "Administer Domain" and check the CLIENTS section of the console for each Domain.

On the other hand, if no clients are showing a green dot, then you'll likely have to restore from backup.
