    Hi,

    I have a SEPM 12.1 production server with 2000 client in SQL database  but my sep client is showing this message.

    "firewall is not functioning correctly. your protection definitions may be damaged or your product installation may be corrupt"

    Please open case with technical support as this issue is with Symnets (Symantec Firewall Driver) binding issue with the NIC and need to investigated.

    I also having this issue with my recent upgrade from SEP Client v 11.0.4 to v 12.1 RU1

    A fix for this issue has been released in the 12.1 RU1 MP1 and 11.0 RU7 MP2 versions of the Symantec Endpoint Protection product.

     

    The steps below outline a separate workaround:

    1) Uninstall SEP client from

    2) Take back up of the registry

    3) Delete the following keys

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\eventlog\System\Teefer3
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\eventlog\System\Teefer3
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\Teefer3
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Teefer3

    4) Reboot the machine
    5) Reinstall SEP client.

    Yes, thanks for the assistance guys.

    it works after the uninstallation and seeral reboots.
