SEPM 12 -- Install an addition management server to an existing site - SQL Server client tools ??

I have installed my first site, no problems. (used embedded database)

Now I'm installing an addition management server to an existing site, fresh server 2008 R2. I was planning to use embedded database as well, but right after the Server name/Server port/Server data folder/etc screen, I can't choose the type of database, instead I am getting a pop-up window saying the following:

The SQL Server client tools must be installed on the server where you install SEPM. Make sure that the tools are installed, and specify the folder where they are installed in the appropriate box.

The screen is divided into two sections:

    Step One: Database Server Authentication.

    Step Two: Existing Database Parameters

This is not good, I cannot install a SQL Server of my secondary server just for SEPM..  We had no problems with SEPM 11, why is SEPM 12 is obligating me to have a SQL Server installed?

Is there a solution to my problem?

    Thank you !

It sounds like you are trying to install an additional SEPM to share the one database, which is only supported with SQL.

You are going to want to install an additional site when you get to that choice instead of installing an additional management server to an existing site. This will result in two databases that will take any changes to one database and replicate to the other. Below is documentation on how to do this.

    Hello,

What version of SEP are you installing?

Is that SEP SBE version 12.0 OR SEP 12.1 Enterprise Edition OR SEP SBE 12.1?

    Incase, SEP 12.1 Enterprise Edition,

When Installing SEP, and you see and Select Custom configuration (as below)

Select the required option (Use anything below 1000)
