    Hi EveryOne,

    Good day

    Already OFF the windows defender, firewall, enable remote registry,

    SEP 12.1.2

    windows 8 32bit

    issue is still roll back attached is the SEP _INST

    Missing SEP _INST logs

    It's know issue

    Symantec Endpoint Protection client fails to install to recently updated Windows 8 computers

    Disable Windows Defender and remove KB2781197 and try the install again

    If it is fully patched, disable Windows Defender and remove KB2781197 and try the install again. This is a known issue per this KB article:

    If this doesnt work than post SEP_INST.log file

    Have you read question ?It's already use sep 12.RU2 .

     

    SEP 12.RU2 already release nov.2012 .

    Symantec is aware of this problem and will update this document when a solution becomes available.

     

    Until a solution is provided, you can work around this problem using one of the following:

    • Disable Windows Defender before installing the SEP client
    • Remove KB2781197 before installing the SEP client

    If above KB's are not work please  post SEP_INST.log

    showing the same symptoms in the log. Follow these steps as fo now till a fix is applied.

     

    Until a solution is provided, you can work around this problem using one of the following:

    Hi,

    Upon checking the logs it's showing same symptoms in the logs

    You should always refer this article while installing SEP on windows 8 machine.

    • Disable Windows Defender before installing the SEP client
    • Remove KB2781197 before installing the SEP client

    The workaround is still valid for 12.1.2_MP1, so I managed to install SEP after uninstalling KB2781197 and disabling Windows Defender. Do you still want me to post the SEP_INST logs?

    i already resolve by Disable windows defender, windows firewall, User account control and enable and start remote registry and also delete KB2781197. perform restart after removing. then perform remote deploy. thanks everyone :)
