    Problem with Sonar definitions

Management Console is saying all clients have out of date sonar definitions : 06/01/2012 r11

Latest definitions according to http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions.jsp?pid=sep12 are 6-1-2012 r11

So I don't understand why I'm being told they're out of date ?

    Any ideas

    Hello,

    Check this Article:

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager 12.1 console home page showing Security Status - Attention needed

A possible workaround for this issue is to change the date format used by the SEPM for logs and reports. Note: making the below changes will modify all reports and logs displayed in the SEPM to use the MMDDYYYY format.

To Modify the date format used by the SEPM:

    1. Log into the SEPM Console
    2. Click the Preferences link In the  Security Status section on the SEPM Home tab
    3. Select the Logs and Reports tab
    4. Select DDMMYY from the Date format combo box
    5. Click the OK button to close the Preferences page
    6. The changes to these settings may take a few minutes to take effect.

    Hi Mithun,

That appears to have fixed the out of date errors. You'd think that this type of issue wouldn't arise in this day & age

    Thanks for your help :)

It's still interesting to see that 1 machine has definitions of 11-1-2012 r5 in the management console but has the 6-1-2012 r11 definitions on the clients itself......

sumitgupta786 thanks for the response but that link is to AV definitions.... not SONAR definitions as I said in the question :)
