Hey Guys,

Let's say I uninstall an SEP client on a computer, will it be counted as a free sit on the SEPM and reuse it on another computer?

If you have uninstall sep client but host name not delete SEPM console your licenece not free.

if you have delete host name in SEPM console,Your particular license will be free and you can use another system.

Configure SEPM to remove clients which have not connected within a specific number of days.

1. Open SEPM and select the Admin panel.
2. Click on Servers
3. Right click on the Site where your management servers are located and choose Edit Properties
4. Check "Delete Clients that have not connected for __ Days"
5. Enter a value for Days.
6. Click OK.

will deleting the SEP client's host name on the SEPM work even if the SEPM is running with an SQL server?

I thought even if i delete the client's hostname on the sep it will not work because it is still stored on the database?

Yes, If you unistall the sep client and entry not avaialable in SEPM then it will be count as a free and you able to reuse that license on another system.

After uninstallation of client you have to delete host entry from sepm console, Then you may able to see free license in your sepm.

Only Uninstalling SEP will not  free your licence, you have to remove that entry from SEPM then only it will reuse again.
