  • 1.  Quick tips for upgrading to pcAnywhere 12.5 SP4 or pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.7

    Upgrading to pcAnywhere 12.5 SP4

    Version Instructions
    pcAnywhere 11.x and earlier versions
    1. Uninstall the current pcAnywhere version.
    2. Install pcAnywhere 12.5 SP4.

    To upgrade to pcAnywhere 12.5 SP4

    1. Choose an upgrade method.
    2. Upgrade to pcAnywhere 12.5 SP4.

    Upgrading to pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.7

    Version Instructions
    IT Management Suite (ITMS) 7.1 SP2

    To upgrade to pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.7

    1. In IT Management Suite 7.1 SP2, you can use Symantec Installation Manager to upgrade to 12.6.7.
    2. In Symantec Installation Manager click Install New Products, and then choose to install this product.

    To upgrade to pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.7

    • Upgrade to IT Management Suite 7.1 SP2.
      or
    • Install and use pcAnywhere 12.6.7 as a stand-alone product.

    To obtain a pcAnywhere 12.6.7 entitlement, contact Symantec Customer Service at the following URL:

    Hi - I have 11.0 and 12.1 media and install base and need to upgrade to 12.6.7 for obvious reasons .. how do I obtain 12.6.7 media and is the upgrade from 11.X a free upgrade ??

    Sorry.  I should have said 12.5 SP4 or 12.6.7 entitlement.  The 2 versions have all the same security fixes.  The main difference is that 12.5 SP4 is for customers with the box product.  12.6.7 is for customers using pcAnywhere Solution which ships as part of IT Mgmt Suite and Client Mgmt Suite.

    Thanks - one last question .. could I run an 11.5 Remote connecting to a 12.5 SP4 Host ??

    No. Unlike previous upgrades/updates, all machines must now be on the same version.
