Hi James,
thanks for your answer.
I think my explanations were a little bit unclear.
In fact, my configuration is very simple :
I have only one server acting as PXE/DHCP/TFTP server.
As I use the same PXE boot menu for all clients, I am not using the 3Com PXE server.
I saw somewhere it was not mandatory in this case so I didn't start the PXE server service (but I could make a mistake).
I only have the Windows DHCP server and the 3Com TFTP server services running.
The problem is that when a system boots with PXE and tries to load the WinPE pre-OS :
- it scans to get an IP address from the DHCP server
- it gets this address after a while (1 or 2 mn, which is pretty long)
- then, immediatly following this error message is displayed :
PXE-E55 : ProxyDHCP service did not reply to request on port 4011.
My question is : why is the system looking for a proxy DHCP as everything is running on the same server ?
Is it due to something wrong or missing in my configuration ?
Thanks,
Jean-Pierre
