  • 1.  Proper method for configuring SEPM replication

    Posted Apr 15, 2013 12:47 PM

I have two SEPM 12.1.2 servers. I want to configure replication between the two. Each server is managing a different set of clients but I want all of my clients to point to serverA and server B be the replication partner (backup) should serverA go offline. Do I configure a replication partner from serverA or serverB? I tried configuring from serverA but adding serverB as the replication partnet but after I enter the server and admin information I get an error that The local site does not have the information for the remote site and I must synchronize teh local site's data with its partner. I have configured replcation in SEPM 11 before and do not remember getting this issue..i remember the setup process being pretty straight-forward. What am I missing here?

Go to server B and configure it as a replication partner to server A via the Management Server Configuration Wizard.

After this you can setup your MSL to have server A as the primary and server B as the secondary in case server A goes down.

    Hello,

Run the Management Server Configuration Wizard on SEPM B and configure it as a replication partner to server A. Later you may configure the MSL with correct priority.
