    Hi all

    I need to distribute SEP 11 or 12 though Microsoft SMS and SCCM and have problems getting the correct configuration to work.

    We have created and exported an install from the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager and our configuration is set in "SETAID.ini"

    The only features I want to install is: SAVMain & Core.

    [FEATURE_SELECTION]
    SAVMain=1
    EMailTools=0
    OutlookSnapin=0
    NotesSnapin=0
    Pop3Smtp=0
    ITPMain=0
    Firewall=0
    PTPMain=0
    TruScan=0
    DCMain=0
    Core=1
    NTPMain=0
    Download=0

    Installing SEP manually like this: "msiexec.exe /i <share>\Sep64.msi REBOOT=ReallySuppress /qb" works perfectly. We only get the "Virus and Spyware Protection" component.

    Performing the exact same installation from the same share through SMS or SCCM ends up installing THREE components: "Virus and Spyware Protection", "Proactive Threat Protection" and " Network Threat Protection" ??

    This is an issue with both version 11.x and 12.x of SEP.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Best Regards,

    Christian Roejbaek

    Hello Mithun

    Thank you very much for your reply.

    Installing through the "setup.exe" instead of accessing the MSI directly solved my problem!
