  • 1.  Moving SEPM 12.1.3 to a different drive

    Posted Oct 24, 2013 12:27 PM

I have recently upgraded the Symantec Endpoing Protection Manager and the C drive is almost full on my server...

I am looking to move the SEPM to a different drive (on the same server) I know this is possible as support has assited me with this in the past...(different server/domain)

Also I am trying to backup the database but the drive is so full I can't even do that, is there anyway I can re-direct the back up path?

Also, do I just need to uninstall the manager and reinstall onto the other driver? also is there a point in the wizard where I can restore all the settings?

Anything I should take note of before I do this as well?

Sorry for the hundred questions, thank you in advance!

I did see those links....I think I got a little lost while reading through since they are two different situations...

Would the steps involve a combination of both solutions?

Thanks Rafeeq! I was able to clear some space and get a backup - moved it to the drive I would like to re-install the manager on.

Unfortunatly the move to a different machine doesn't apply to my situation due to the fact I need to uninstall the manager completely. In the article it refers to having the manager installed on two machines at once - where as I am working with one server not two separate ones...
