  • 1.  Log files in XFER folder choking machines and hard-drives!

    What can I do to prevent the hard-drives running out of space from thousands of log files located in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\xfer\" on our clients machines? What is causing this?

    We are running SEP 11.0.4000.2295

    This is a known issue with pre-RU5 builds, you can manually clear these, but the fix is to upgrade to RU5

    There is a utility - SymDelTemps - that will automate deleting the temp files.  Open a ticket with support, and it can be provided for you.

    Hi, 

    We're using version 11.0.5 and we're experiencing the same thing whereas the XFER log files in the thousands. Is there a patch for this?

    You could go for 11.0.6100.XXX
