Hi,

iam using 12.1. In my management console many clienst are showing as the below image yellow colour arrow..when checked it is showing as install failed.roll back error. What to do for that error?

It seems the License were not deployed on these machines or failed to deploy.

right click on client and check the properties it should give some detail

when i roght clik only it is telling as install failed roll back..what to do now?

we are having enough licenses to manage those clients..iam sure that it is not any licernse issue.

can you check the sep_inst.log on the client for the reason?

You need to push the package again on those client machines where the install failed.

in windows 7 i could not find the location of this file..where to find help me..

go to start ---> run ---> type %temp% hit enter it should open a temp folder in new windows, serach for sep_inst.log.

i tried but not found..so only asking..i enabled show the hidden files and folders also..iam using symantec 12..

now for many clients iam getting these errors..so i need help urgently..

Have you tried first time installation on those systems??

yes those are new systems and we installed symantec first time only..

ok, in the client install package can you check the location of the log generation? You should browse to that path to check the logs.

Ya i checked..it is showing %temp% location only..

then it should have been there, or you can use the command line and generate a log for install.

for ex:

setup.exe /l*v c:\sep_inst.log

this will generate the sep_inst at c:\ drive

I tried but it is telling as no file such as setup.exe..can i have full command..iam using symantec 12.. and i install it via upgrade in manager.

you can export a package and copy the setup.exe on the machine. Then open the command line and type the setup.exe /l*v c:\sep_inst.log  after browsing the path where the setup has been placed.

like in cmd prompt, on c drive i have placed setup.exe

c:>setup.exe /l*v c:\sep_inst.log
