    Hi,

The SEPM works on the logs reported to it by the SEP clients.

Now, if the clients haven't reported to the SEPM since 60days, surely there is no report of them on the SEPM.

SEPM by default deletes the enteries of those "Inactive Clients" automatically.

So, I there is no Possiblility for the same to get it generated in the SEPM.

But if I save logs for example 80 days, and the clients is delete for 30 days. What I know the logs is there for 80 days?
    Is this correct?

hi mithun, just a query, is it by default the SEPM was set to delete "inactive clients" within a period of time? because i just got a fresh install of SEPM and found out that it is not by default activated (to delete "inactive clients").

    Hello,

By default, clients that have not connected will remain within the SEPM for 30 days before being removed from the database.

     3.JPG

    1) Open SEPM and click on the Admin tab.

    2) Click on Servers.

    3) Select the "Local Site" from the list of Servers.

    4) Under "Tasks," select Edit Site Properties.

    5) Under the "General" tab, there is a check box that says "Delete clients that have not connected for X days." By default this is set to 30. Change the number of days as desired.

    6) Click OK.

    Hello,

Correct. The client would be deleted from the SEPM in 30 Days. However, the old logs would remain there for 80 days.

     Hi Mithun Sanghavi
    one doubt
Here if I check the logs/reports in SEPM after the client is got inactive (after 30 days) but before getting the log deleted (before 80 days) whether i will get information about that particular client?

    Hello,

You could. (However, there are certain exceptions to this.)

    What you mean by exceptions?
    About certain reports?
    About certain experiences ?

    Hello,

    There are exceptions as in...

You would be able to see the logs of Client in case while creating a Report, the time Range should be selected properly.

    Example:

0-30 days (client does not respond interact to SEPM)

0 to 80 days (Ofcourse, SEPM would have no logs either way)

    - 50days to 0 to 30 days (SEPM would have logs of the starting 50 days from the day the client stopped reporting to SEPM)

Time Range should be either 3 months or above.

    click on reports
select report type as computer status
in the select a report select computers not checked in to the server.
    You can specify the date.
    click on advanced settings
at the bottom select online status to be offline
    click on create report.
    Export as .csv file
put it in an excel file
sort the last check in time.
the older onces will be deleted after 30 days, which is configurable.
