    Hi

In order to cover all my servers, I have only my hyper-v host left to deploy to.

I have created exceptions for the the following file extensions

    VHD
    VSV
    ISO
    AVHD
    VFD
    XML

I have also bee advised to create an exception to prevent the following processes from being scanned, but can see this option.

    VMMS.exe
    VMWP.exe
    VMSWP.exe

The is a process exception option in TruScan Proactive Threat Scan Exceptions part, but I am not convinced this is right.

Any help/advice on this would be much appreciated.

PTP scans only processes, not files or folders
it scans them based on the scores assigned to them, if they act weired scores change and it detects as threat,, it contains diffrent signatures for the same
you need to create those exclusions only when you have PTP installed, on server OS this does not work it wil remain OFF so dont worry about that.

It sounds like you've gotten these, but this may help you.  Also, to clarify, do you have SEP 11 or SEP for Small Business 12?

Thanks for that, so I only need the extension exclusions then to stop it scanning the virtual guest files??

I assume the IPS/firewall won't cause any problems either??

Thanks for all your replies, this has been deployed to a couple of host servers for over a week now with no problems.
