  • 1.  How to recover client communication after reinstalling SEP Manager Console

    Hi,

I had to reinstall SEPM since there is no license file to upgrade from trial to full version. So far so good, but how can I recover communication with my SEP client machines now?

It can be done my replacing the sylink file on the clients or pushing the new package to the clients with new commuincating settings.

For replacing the sylink you can use sylink replacer or sylink remote

    OR

You can create a new package and push it to the clienst

If you installed first trial version there is no other way you have to manually uninstall each client and install the new one.Refer below KB

We want upgrade the Symantec Endpoint Protection the trial version to the licensed version on the manager and client installation.
If we upgrade only the manager SEPM and we change the syslink.xml on the client to manage the new configuration, we must re-install the clients or the installation works correctly?
or must we upgrade the clients too to the licensed version?

Thank you very much for the answer.
