    Hi all

    I want to install DLP agent on all Active Directory computers that are Windows XP  Service pack 3 or Windows 7.

    I have created the following script file which i have attached to this forums discussion and i changed the file extention to ".bat".

    I have assigned this batch file in Scripts(startup/shutdown)-->startup.

    I have shared this folder mentioned in the batch file (which contains MSI)with permission to domain computers and everyone -->read access.

    I have assigned to the OU which all the computers exists in that ou.

    but nothing happens on the computers.

    When i check EVENT Viewer i have only one information event which states that MSI installer stared the msi, but nothing happens and installation doesn't create folders and the service.

    "It is good to say that i haven't assign the MSI to software installation in GPO because i wanted to add switches that you can see in the script"

    and

    "when is double click the Script when i login to a client with administrator account, Installation finishes successfully."

    I mean that i think that there is a problem with automatic installation or privilege.

    I have read many forums and articles but i'm doing the same but ....!?!?
    Can you help me to install DLP agent using Active Directory please

    According to you script:

    msiexec /i \\172.16.16.2\x86\AgentInstall.msi /qn INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\Symantec\Endpoint Agent\" ENDPOINTSERVER="dlp.damsun.com" KEY="" UNINSTALLPASSWORDKEY="7C80CCEB398941DD18216D19495BE45CE05CD21E" SERVICENAME="Symantec Endpoint Agent" WATCHDOGNAME="WDP" ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT="0" /log %temp%\dlpinst.log

    try to add double quotation marks to the location of the msi file and the log file.

    Hi;

    I used this script and its work without any problem. But the user which logon must be a local administrator on related machine.

    msiexec /i \\ari\DLP\64\AgentInstall64.msi /q INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\Manufacturer\Endpoint Agent\" ENDPOINTSERVER="10.0.0.112" KEY="" UNINSTALLPASSWORDKEY="Dlp" SERVICENAME="EDPA" WATCHDOGNAME="WDP" ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT="1"
