  • 1.  How to Find SEP Clients that are designated as Unmanaged Detectors

    Posted Oct 31, 2011 09:02 AM

    Hello,

Several of our SEP clients were designated as Unmanaged Detectors, problems is, I'm not sure WHICH SEP clients are Unmanaged Detectors.

When I go to Clients > Tasks > Search Clients

There is no Search Field that says, "Unmanaged Detector"

    Please help.

    Hi,

you can only find a client which is set as an unmanaged computer is by it's icon. When you check the client which is set as unmanaged detector in the clients tab it will have an icon that has 3 squares(computer like icon).

So in other words, I have to manually look at ALL clients and determine whether it is an Unmanaged detector based on it's icon.

Rather than running a simple search.

Ok, I went to the links Mick posted and voted in favor of having this feature in SEP.

Yes, with this version ICON will help to know clients that are acting as unmanaged detector.

Is there is registry key that designates a SEP client as an Unmanaged Detector?

Perhaps one can run a script...

In the top of the Home screen look at the "Security Status" click "More Details" if you have "Percentage of computers that do not have the client installed:" checked in the preferences you can see which "Detector" is active.

    Weisman,

I guess this is the best solution SEP has so far. It's certainly more helpful than going through each Client group and looking for Unmanaged Detector icon.
