Hi,

I got about 50-60 Linux server that I installed with SAVFL v1.0.9 so I wonder how to check if those clients gets updated from the LUA server v 2.3.1 ?

Hi John,

SAVFL clients are designed to work as standalone machines.  There's an optional component where some limited information passes from the Linux box to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager- that's the SAVFL Reporter that Pete mentioned.  It puts the output from certain SAVFL logs into SEPM reports.  That's the tool I'd recommend for you.

One hurdle to jump, though: SAVFL Reporter was introduced with SAVFL MR 10, a later version than you have.  I recommend upgrading a few test machines and installing SAVFL Reporter. Try it out.  Confirm that it is doing what you need, then upgrade and install the rest.

Wow I never knew that is possible before, so yes my UNIX team has told me that the existing SAVFL is version 09, but I have downloaded SEPM v 12.1 RU1 MP1 which shows Symantec AntiVirus for Linux 1.0.13 (after reading in the readme.txt (attached)

Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1_RU1_MP1\Linux\SAVLINUX

is that the latest available ?

yeah,Symantec AntiVirus for Linux 1.0 Maintenance Release 13 is the latest version
