Hi,

I got several SAMBA file sahre hosted by Linux server and Solaris server

my question is that how and where should I deploy the Symantec Endpoint to perform the scan for those files in the shared network drive, should I install it on the client and perform the full scan ?

The easiest way is to setup a PC with a SEP client and map drives from it to your shares. Than create custom scans with the SEP client to scan those shares.

Use this KB article to create custom scans. You just need to select the mapped drives to scan.

or I hope this can be done from the SEPM server itself as VM to reduce the number of machine to be deployed just to do this scanning ?

This type of custom scan can only be done on the client, not from the SEPM.

It can be done with any PC that has a SEP client on it. However, just be wary of the load it will put on the CPU as it may be scanning for awhile depending on how big your file shares are.
