    As an addition to above posts, if you want to block not only local mp3 access but mp3 download, you can use custom IPS signatures. An perfectly fitting example can be seen in this article:

    Blocking  *.mp3 file is configurable in application control policy. You can apply it via network drive, USB drive and others.

    Copy the autorun.inf policy.

    You can get a copy of that here: Article URL http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH104909

    Replace the autorun.inf entry with *.mp3. Rename the policy and apply.
