I wish I can add to this. But I did have similar experience like your bottom 2 screens.

I can only comment on the last screen shot as i have also had the same issues on a new Build to my estate.

If you drop to a command prompt and type DIR /X, Do you see short name details next to the full dir list,

    I.e c:\program files and u should also see c:\progra~1.

If not then you have not installed the base image with the old 8.02 format.

Also small note are all your clients not updating the PTP side of the client ?

    I had over 300 + clients until i found it !.

    Hope this helps u

If only I wasn't an employee, I would love to share some stuff!

About PTP not updating. After the initial deployment of an workstation that seems to fix itself after two days. I need to dig deeper into the log files for this.

For that third screen shot, are you / they / whoever logged in as a limited user?

Just after doing an install. I took a screenshot from a remote desktop  session so the resolution is affected.

This is after installing SEP 11.0.4202.75 that I'm using for testing purposes. Like your screenshot.

    Notice the "Fix" button?

    Here is my favorite:

No shield, only green dot to indicate SEP/SEPM communication.

Restarting Smc will get the shield to come back.

Would love to know how many of these were installed and/or packages exported and deployed using an improperly configured (ie. non-console) remote session (RDP, Dameware, etc.)....

For mine, it was installed locally.

    Haven't seen this yet.

I've had it happen twice. Both were local installs, upgraded from SAV 10.x.

Restarting Smc brought the shield back but very funny to see nonetheless.

    Hi.

We package our apps using Wise Package Studio and then deploy with Altiris as local system.\

Both of those are Symantec Tools! User error in defining the package is still possible.

Lol, these are hilarious. The other day I had a problem like these. The icon on the task bar showed red and when I opened up the console "no problem detected"

I disabled it and the taskbar icon turned green and the console showed error

    >_<

I've seen this on Dell D600 machines which didn't have the latest video driver instaled.

I enjoy having Windows tell me that 2 firewalls are running when the Windows Firewall is running and SEP has NTP installed but no Firewall policy enabled.  Our helpdesk loved getting calls about that one.

lol, I've never seen that one before =P

Basically the driver is still loaded but no action is performed so no suprise system is confused :-D And it is not much related to SEP but to Windows Security Center...

That's the answer we got, but try explaining that to the team that develops our Windows image.  They weren't too fond of the red X's in the Security Center.

This PC was re-imaged with Altiris. First a month ago & then again today.

Every one of those objects has a unique ID. SEP is not part of the image. It only get installed after the base OS has booted for the first time. Maybe I should wait for the 2 hourly heartbeat to elapse & see if the one green dot disappears.
