    Hello,

Since you are running SEP 11.x, here are the steps -

    To reset the administrator password

    1. Open Windows Explorer on the computer that runs Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
    2. Locate the Drive:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\Tools folder.
    3. Double-click resetpass.bat.

The user name and password are reset to admin.

    4. Log on to Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager using admin for both the user name and the password, and change the password.

In case of SEPM 12.1, check these articles:

    Resetting a forgotten password

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO55059

Resetting the administrator user name and password to admin

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO54992

    Hope that helps!!

reset pass is available only with version 11.x you must be running 12.x version.

when you open the Symantec manager console. do you see the option Forgot your password?

click on that ,it will email you the password.

To verify the Email Address (admin Mail Reciptants):

1.Open Windows Explorer on the computer that runs Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.
    2.Locate the <Drive>:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc folder.
3.Double-click the sepm_settings.properties file and open with notepad:

    admin Email Address is here:
    adminMailReciptants=......

On the logon screen for the SEPM, click "Forgot your password?"

Fill in the User name for the administrator and click "Temporary Password"

You will receive an email with a link to activate the temporary password.

    HI,

    To reset a forgotten password

    1.    On the management server computer, click Start > All Programs > Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager > Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

    2.    In the Logon screen, click Forgot your password?.

    3.    In the Forgot Password dialog box, type the user name for the account for which to reset the password.

For domain administrators and limited administrators, type the domain name for the account. If you did not set up domains, leave the domain field blank.

    4.    Click Temporary Password.

An email that contains a link to activate the temporary password is sent to the administrator.

As a security precaution, the administrator must change the temporary password immediately after logging on.

    Regards

    Ajin
