    Hi All,

     

    I getting error message when i used to update the PTP & NTP definitions... The error message like, Please free up your disk space and do live update..

    whats the actuall problem.? can anyone help me..i attached  screen shot also...

    do you use proxy in  your network? like ISA firewall?
    go to control pannel.

    open liveupdate; enter the proxy settings

    or

    open liveupate make it interactive

    start

    run

    type luall.exe

    try downloading smaller components; seems like u r firwall is blocking it....

    In Windows7 i  cant findout the liveupdate option..plzz pllz where is the excate location?

    if you open the control pannel you should see liveupate listed...

    do you see liveupdate in the add/remove programs? you can download it frm here

    Hello,

    Please check this:

     

    "LU1863: Insufficient free disk space" occurs when attempting to run LiveUpdate, even with adequate available disk space.
     
     
    Also, please check the Following:
    • Ensure that you are able to "ping" update.symantecliveupdate.com
    • Use "tracert" on the LiveUpdate server, to see how long it takes to reach the server
    • Ensure that the proxy settings are configured properly.
    • Uninstall and reinstall the LiveUpdate component

    Also check if you can Use a web browser to visit www.symantec.com and give the web filtering software permission. Run LiveUpdate again.
