  • 1.  DLP v11.1 excessive file reader restarts with large EDM

    We are currently experiencing excessive file reader restarts, with a large EDM in our test labs.  Server is configured for inline SMTP. 

    Servers:
    OS: Red Hat 5
    DLP Version: 11.1
    RAM: 72GB
    RDX files (2 x 1.1GB each)

    Any config suggestions we should try?  Increase the EDM JVM heap sizes?

    Had to install the lib package on all the DLP servers: apr-util

    Had no more problems.

    To check it you have it installed: rpm -qa | grep apr-util

    You should get back something like this if it is installed:

    apr-util-1.2.7-11.el5_5.2
    apr-util-1.2.7-11.el5_5.2

    Hi- I sometimes have an error for the file reader on my discover servers that the process is restarting excessively.

     

    Can you please let me know what may be happening? I have attached the operational log

    Increasing the maximum Java Heap size may help.
