    I have install a lot of laptop with a same installation files from a same thumb drive. But I have machine with Deployment: Install failed, rolled back. I have try to reinstall the client, but it does not solve the issue. 

    The client is running fine in protecting the system. But on SEPM show otherwise. How can i over come this?

    So SEP installed correctly?

    Have you tried deleting it from the console and letting it check back in?

    Hi Brian,

    I had deleted it from SEPM while Client still running. It will be added back to SEPM, but still the same issue.

    I have try to deleted it from SEPM and reinstall the client with out uninstalling it. Result are the same. 

    Currently I have 2 machine out of 90 having this issue and all of them install from the same package.

    Run a repair from add/remove programs on the client

    does restart of the machine make the message go away?

    AFAIK, whatever is in this tab does not go away that easlisy.we need to wait for the next DB cleanup

    try deleting all the logs from the client and update the policy.

    Cleanwipe the system and reinstall the again.

    Hi Brian,

    I had tried to repair it. Failed. Tried to uninstall it. Failed too.

    Hi Pete,

     

    Do you mean restart of the SEPM Server? I guess my 2 level support engineer had did that. But it did not go away.

    Did you use the 64Bit SEP installer package in installing in this machine??

    Hi JM, 

    Yes, I did. As the machine is running on Win 7 x64. SEP will not allow me to install i586 package, would it?

    Yes, it would allow but it will fail like your issue. Have you check the UAC of your client? Sometimes UAC trigger to failed and roll backs the installation of SEP.

    Only 64 bit package allowed to install on 64 bit system. Reinstall it.

    Restart the DB service.

    The only problem now is that I can't even uninstall it from Windows installer.

    Did you try Clean wipe tool for uninstall ?

    I had create a new case in MySymantec, in order to receive Cleanwipe tool for uninstallation.

    The Latest version of CleanWipe is 12.1.4013.4013 is present in Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.4_Part2_Tools_EN\CleanWipe

    You can find your cleanwipe tool in your latest SEP Installer from fileconnect. Otherwise, if you dont have, the fastest way you can request the tool is to contact Symantec Support instead of filing a case in my.symantec portal.
