    Hi!

I can't find how to set a prefix variable in Centralized Exceptions on SEP 12.1 since I cant type % like in SEP 11 I need this to set %Exchangeinstallpath%

    regards

Is your Exchange installed in a different path\folder and not in the default %PROGRAMFILES% ?

Seems like you're stuck to using [PROGRAM_FILES] and adding Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ or something to that effect.

Can we recommend this in the idea section. Although there might be too many variables. Maybe just an add-on to the exceptions menu. Downloadable policy.

by default the SEP exclude the install path of the Microsoft exchange directory, is it not in your case?

SEP Automatically detects and excluded Exchange and DC. You cannot create manual prefixes in centralized exception.

That dint work in SEP 11 as well.

Give the full path of exclusion or select any one of the Prefixes which are avilable and type rest of the path.

This HOWTO it's for sep 11 and aplicable for Exchange until 2007 SP1.

    I use SEP 12.1 RU1 and Exchange 2010 SP2

To configure exceptions I use this guide: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb332342.aspx

this site have 4 servers and install path isn't the same on each server.....

on SEP 11 I was able to type % in the field, now in 12.1 I can't....

don't have a .txt or .cfg or .ini.... with this pre set variables that I can edit to add the variable that I need???
