  • 1.  Clients show out of date on console, but up to date on client itself.

    I have an issue regarding LiveUpdate. My server defs are all up to date and reports the right date. The issue is that my console displays all clients are out of date. If I go to each client, they are in fact up to date. For both version 11 and 12 clients. The only thing that I have noticed being different, are the proactive threat and network threat protection, which I have read that since 11 and 12 have difference engines, they will be different and version 12 has an older date.

     

    Any ideas where to check to get these 2 ends synched up to have the console read the correct number of out of date clients?

    Hmm what is the version ?

    Is the SEPM processing the .dat files in Data/Inbox/incoming/agentinfo folder

    try uploading sylink logs of a client

    The console is V 12.1.601.4699. What am I looking for in the .../agentinfo folder?  there are a few TMP and DAT files. It looks like it is processing. The size of the files are changing.

    Well without going into detail I would suggest install SEP 12.1 RU1

    The latest version is Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, RU1 (12.1.1000.157)

    is my understanding correct, the clients are updated and on console it shows out of date?

    if yes, can you check this article and change date format and confirm if it addresses the issue

    Pete,

     

    So far, this has not fixed the issue. It is at the same spot as we were earlier. The article does say that this is a known issue. Do you know if any fixes in the near future for this?

    it should be upgraded to 12.1 RU 1
