    Check the registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SYMANTEC\SYMANTEC ENDPOINT PROTECTION\AV\EXCLUSIONS

    On 64bit window machines the registry path is:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\Exclusions

    Looking at the settings in theRegistry will only tell you what is configured. To actually test if the Centralised Exeptions are in effect, you will have to create an EICAR.COM test virus in each of those folders.

    @Ajaysingh

    EICAR.COM is a test executable that will show the message 'This is the EICAR Test virus'. It is THE standard to test if your AV software is functioning correctly.

    The EICAR.COM files does NOT damage your PC.
