Cannot import new packages into SEPM

    HEllo - I am trying to import the newest version of SEP into my SEPm but am getting the attached error message.  Waht does it mean, where are the logs it is talking about?

    What file are you importing?

    1. Log into the SEPM Console and select the Admin tab
    2. Select Install Packages
    3. Click Add Client Install Package from the Tasks menu
    4. On the Add Client Install Package dialog:
      1. Provide a descriptive name for the installation package in the Specify a name for this package text box (i.e. Symantec Endpoint Protection RU6 MP1)
      2. Click the Browse button
      3. Navigate to the installation package folder (i.e. SEPM\Packages\ from the installation media)
      4. Select the .info file associated with the installation package (i.e. SAV32.info, SAV64.info)
      5. Click the Select button
      6. Optionally, provide a description of the package in the Description field
      7. Click the OK button to start the import process
    5. After a successful import, a status window will be displayed
    6. Click the Close button to exit the Creating Package dialog.

    I am trying to import  the package .info file into my SEPM.  Version 12.1.4MP1b. from Disc 1\SEPM\Packages\.  I get to step 7 of 4 and then get the message I attached.  Any suggestions

    a reboot of the server or a repair for SEPM from add/remove programs should fix it..

    I would first reboot and check if that fixes it.

    Try copy SAV32.info and SAV64.info from install dir to c:\programfiles\symantec\sepm\tomcat\package\ Then go to bin and run upgrate .bat Make sure in task there is only one user login under user tab

    As per your attach snapshot, it reflect that another porcess is running while importing the package.

    Due to that this was failed.

    Kindly check and share your server system log for more detail.

    I am suggesting you to just stop and start the sepm service and try to import the file again.

    Before doing stop/start service try to import and check what the result come.

    Hope it become help you.

    If restarting does not fix this Issue, take a look at your DB and make sure it has enough space to grow.

    I think another SEPM session is running in the background.

    Try to kill those sessions.

    If not helped then repair/reboot can be a possible solution.

    Yes it worked after I stopped and restarted the services.
