    Can we install Symantec client 12.1RU1 MP1 in Windows 8, kindly provide the solution

    Hello,

    SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1 does not support Windows 8 machines.

    Windows 8 is supported in SEP 12.1 RU2.

    The Release is due by November 6th. Check this -

    Incase, if you are interested in Beta Testing for SEP 12.1 RU2, check this :

    HI,

    12.1RU1 MP1  dows not support windows 8.

    SEP 12 RU2 are supported windows 8.

    SEP 12 RU2 Released date is 6 Nov 2012 as per site...

    Hello,

    Windows 8 will be supported in SEP 12.1 RU2 & it's due for released.

    Probably it might release on November 6th.

    Upgrade and Migration paths

    Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.2 (RU2) can upgrade seamlessly over the following:

    • Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.1101.401 (RU1 MP1)
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.1000.157 (RU1)
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.671.4971 (RTM)
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.x (can be upgraded to enterprise version only)
    • Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.0

    Hi,

    In case you see SEP 12.1 RU2 available for download then it might be in English Edition only.

    For local languages you might have to wait for few more days. (Probably till 30th Nov'12)
