I have been looking but have not found any information on how I can configure SEP to scan a USB drive when it is inserted/detected.  I am looking to make sure that this functionality gets on all of our "travelling" laptops so that I don't have to rely on the users to do it.

As of now it does not scan automatically when inserted; however , whenever you access files to and from the USB, FilesSystem autoprotect will scan it..You are protected with that.

Does Symantec Endpoint Protection or Symantec Antivirus Scan USB flash drives?

in coming releases of endpoint ; this functionality will be implimented
